Khu Plu Reh used to be a member of Kayah State Peace Monitoring Network (KSPMN). After his fifteen-years career as a peace fellow and in accordingly with a ceasefire agreement which made between the Government of Myanmar and the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) in 2012, he joined the Kayah State Peace Monitoring Network (KSPMN) which he accepted a position of a Core Team Member and spoke person in the network.

He contested in 2020 General Election as a candidate representing local ethnic party called Kayah State Democratic Party (KySDP) in Deemawso Township Constituency No. (1). On 09 April 2021, he joined the Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC) and was appointed as one of the members of KSCC’s Secretary team. On 06 June 2023, he was appointed as a General Secretary of the Interim Executive Council of Karenni State (IEC).
