Khu Oo Reh has been the Chairperson of the Interim Executive Council of Karenni State (IEC) since its inception in June 2023. He is an experienced political leader and the Chairperson of Karenni State Progressive Party (KNPP). As an executive of the IEC, he plays instrumental roles in state-building in Karenni State. He leads and implements the mandate of the interim arrangements including governance, public administration, and implementation of public policies in Karenni State. While fighting against all forms of dictatorship and fighting for federal democracy that guarantees freedom, equality, and self-determination, he acts as a change agent for all nationalities from Karenni state. In doing so, he leads different public departments which provide public services, manage public affairs and foster law enforcement. In addition, he is the chief for implementing inter-governmental and international relations including engagement with relevant political stakeholders and diplomats from foreign countries.
